It was inspired by the break up of a relationship, and musically fused modern R&B styles with influences from the 1960s. Co produced by Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson, and featuring the Dap-Kings to deliver its retro sound, it has become a musical landmark, and has gone on to sell over 16 million copies. A modern classic.

The most familiar tracks from the album are the singles ‘Rehab’, ‘You Know I’m No Good’, ‘Back to Black’, ‘Tears Dry On Their Own’ and ‘Love Is a Losing Game’.
